The tenant has agreed for their full deposit to be kept for rent arrears, but I want to make a claim for dilapidations, why will TDS not accept my dispute?

TDS works on the basis that the deposit is the tenant's money, and it is for the agent/landlord to provide a claim on the deposit.

If the tenant has agreed for the full deposit to be retained, the deposit has been exhausted.

As per our scheme rules, we will then not consider any further claims on the deposit.
