When should Prescribed information be re-served?

Legislation requires that prescribed information is served on receipt of the deposit. In addition to keeping tenants informed of any changes to the details, you should also reissue the prescribed information if there is a significant change in the tenancy agreement under the following four circumstances:

  1. Change of tenant (For example if one tenant moves out and is replaced)
  2. Change of landlord (For example if the landlord sells the property to another landlord)
  3. Change of tenancy address (For example if the agent or landlord has an alternative property for the tenants to move to)
  4. Change of the deposit amount
