What will happen if I ask TDS to resolve a deposit dispute?

If all parties agree to use TDS to help resolve a deposit dispute, the case will firstly be reviewed by a Resolution Executive, who may reach out to one or both parties to help you come to a mutual agreement.

If we are unable to help you come to an agreement, once the case has been reviewed after evidence gathering, TDS will appoint an impartial adjudicator to make a legally binding decision. The decision will be issued within approximately 28 days of parties being notified that the case has gone to adjudication.

TDS will also release any undisputed balances to the parties as per the amounts entered during repayment request/self-resolution.  When the adjudication is complete, TDS will release the deposit in line with the adjudication decision.
